After over a decade in business, we're getting ready to close the store.

Our specialty has always been high quality goatskin work and garden gloves made in the USA

but the person that does our sewing is retiring and there are no replacements. So that's the end

of American Heritage gloves.

We don't want to sell only imported gloves so we've decided it's

time to close shop and move on.

We appreciate all the loyal customers we've had over the years.

We will be having a going out of business sale as soon as we complete an inventory. You can be

notified when the sale will start by signing up for our newsletter here.

Wishing you all the best from all of us at Bear Wallow Gloves!

Limited to Stock on Hand... When they're gone, they're gone...

This is a discontinued item... the Protector Comforts are so much more popular than the Original Protectors that we can no longer justify stocking them. They are being sold without the "Snaps, Straps and Rivets"... just a plain cuff (NOT what you see in the photo). You can add the Velcro Cuff Closure Straps as an option for $5.00 when ordering.

  • You'll never have to worry again about your hands and arms when pruning your Rose Bushes or Berry Vines... not as long as you're wearing your "Protector" Rose Pruning Gauntlet Gloves from American Heritage. Yes, they're made right here in the USA!

  • These beautiful gloves are made from soft, yet durable goatskin long considered by the experts to be the longest wearing and have the best puncture resistance of any natural material. You get real protection ...

  • The 12" gauntlets protect your whole forearm, not just part of it and are made from split cowhide that's just stiff enough to stay in place but soft enough to flex with your arm to make working with these gloves a real pleasure.

  • Huge range of sizes ...
Nowhere else will you find rose gauntlet gloves in sizes ranging from 6 all the way through 13 (that's equivalent to XX-Small through XXX-Large) and half sizes too!

  • Here's a growing list of what our customers are using them for:

  • Pruning Roses
  • Attacking Berry Vines
  • Trimming Brush
  • Working with Barbed Wire
  • Bee Keeping
  • Citrus Pruing and Picking
  • Working with Cactus
  • Carrying in Fire Wood
  • MIG Welding
  • Operating Gas Driven Weedeater
  • Logging
  • Repairing Fences

    Terrific Gloves

Posted by Elisabeth on Jan 29th 2008

In praise of your terrific gloves... We heat our house primarily with wood so my partner and I are always making trips outside to gather logs. These sturdy, excellently crafted gloves protect us from cold, wet and creepy-crawlies. I no longer worry about reaching into the wood pile because the gloves cover my arms all the way to the elbow. What an awesome new product!

    The best gloves

Posted by Deborah on Jan 23rd 2008

Smooth and sturdy--these gloves preserve my skin from my tender finger tips to my elbows. They are supple enough to do fine weeding, but can also tackle 3 inch blackberry vines. The best of both worlds!!
